Michael K. O'Malley was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in the suburbs. Mike is the sixth of seven children. His Mom and Dad are of Irish heritage and were born and raised in Chicago. His Grandparents were from County Mayo and County Clare, Ireland. Mike's parents instilled core values with all their children; Honesty, Integrity, and Character, which Mike has embraced throughout his life. These core values have been the cornerstones of Mike's personal and professional life. Mike is passionate about instilling these values and introducing opportunities to others in an effort to enable them to create a better world for themselves and those around them

Mike joined MetLife November 6, 1978 at the age of eighteen, as an Account Representative.

  • In the year of 1979 at the young age of nineteen, Mike qualified for his first President's Conference and became the youngest ever member of the Million Dollar Round Table.

  • July of 1984 Mike opened his first Agency which ranked nationally in the Top Ten with the largest insurance company in North America

  • October of 1995 Mike was named the Managing Director of the O'Malley & Associates Agency.

  • In the year 2000 O'Malley & Associates was awarded the MetLife Office of the Year Trophy for the entire country, and was named first in class by GAMA.

  • March of 2001 Mike was inducted into MetLife's "Manager's Hall of Fame".

    • Mike received the NECO (National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations Foundation, Inc.) Ellis Island Medal of Honor in May 2009. This Medal of Honor ranks among the nation's most prestigious awards. Past medalists include Supreme Court justices, Nobel Prize winners and Presidents of the United States and individuals whose inspired service to others has touched their communities and changed lives.

    O'Malley & Associates, LLC is a member of Partners Financial. O'Malley & Associates ranked Number 1 in generating revenue in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009.

    Mike is the Founding President of the O'Malley & Associates Charitable Foundation. The Foundation has donated to numerous organizations. The Foundation is a strong supporter for cancer research. The Foundation has also supported organizations that benefit: extracurricular activities for special needs children, hospitals, adoption support and scholarships for gifted young adults that come from challenging environments.

    Mike has occupied a number of leadership positions with professional affiliations:

  • Mike has been a Platinum Plus GAMA International contributor and served on the GAMA Foundation Board of Directors for six years. These contributions support their research on topics that help financial service fields.

  • Mike served on the Foundation Board for the Little Company of Mary Hospital for many years. The O'Malley & Associates Charitable Foundation donated a room in the LCMH Cancer Center to help patients, and families of patient's, feel better in the darkest of days.

  • Mike is the Vice Chairman of the Alexian Brothers Health Systems Foundation Board. The O'Malley & Associates Charitable Foundation has sponsored Alexian's Ball de Fleur for the past ten years and in the past three years has been the major sponsor of the event. These contributions support the Brothers mission to promote the physical, mental, spiritual and social well-being of all the individuals they serve.

  • Mike was asked to serve on the Leadership Board of the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame {NIASHF}.

  • 2003 NIASHF Induction Ceremony Mike was honored to serve as the Dinner Chairman. The O'Malley & Associates Charitable Foundation donated substantially to this organization. Donations to the NIASHF provide support and educational opportunities to students of all backgrounds for their academic and athletic endeavors.

  • 2004 Mike was the recipient of the NIASHF Champions Award.

    • In 2005 Mike created an organization, O'Malley & Associates, LLC. Mike stepped away from a long distinguished career at MetLife to create O'Malley & Associates, LLC which would be exemplary in expert service and structure. Through a carefully integrated partnership with industry leaders, Mike has successfully launched a comprehensive financial services organization that delivers the highest level of care and service to its clientele.

    Mike has been the recipient of Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum National Management Awards in addition to many Career Development Awards.

    Mike is a Registered Principal with Park Avenue Securities LLC.
