Arnold L. Fisher
Russian 1995 Recipient
Mr. Arnold L. Fisher entered the U.S. Army
in 1953 and served 18 months in Korea. After
an Honorable Discharge in 1954, he began his career in the family
business. Over the past four decades, Arnold L.
Fisher has led the construction division of Fisher Brothers.
Extremely hands on, Mr. Fisher is one of the most respected
builders in the nation. He is
personally responsible for the building of such signature properties as:
299 Park Avenue, 605 Third Avenue, 1345 Avenue of the Americas, 1185 of
the Americas, One Bankers Trust Plaza and Park Avenue Plaza. Acclaimed by his colleagues and his
community, Mr. Fisher has received numerous awards.
He is active in many philanthropic causes, especially the Veterans
Bedside Network and the development of the Vietnam Memorial in Westchester
County. He is also involved
in community projects, i.e., Sharon Hospital in Connecticut and the
Dutchess Land Conservancy. He serves as Chairman of the Board of
Trustees of the Hall of Honor (Home of the Congressional Medal of Honor
Society abroad the U.S.S. Intrepid moored in New York Harbor.)
