Carlos Cantu is Senior Chairman of The ServiceMaster Company, a leading company in providing consumer services and supportive management services. He is currently a member of the Company’s Board of Directors and its executive committee. With a track record of growth, leadership and value, ServiceMaster provides consumer services to over 10 million customers through TruGreen-ChemLawn, TruGreen-LandCare, Terminix, American Home Shield, Rescue Rooter, American Residential Services, ServiceMaster, Residential and Commercial Services, Merry Maids, and Furniture Medic. Supportive management services are provided to nearly 2,000 health care, educational and commercial customers.

Mr. Cantu joined Service Master in 1986 when it acquired Terminix. He began his career with the Cook Industries Agri-Products Group based in Mexico. In 1970 he joined Terminix International, then a subsidiary of Cook, and held various management and executive positions before being appointed President and CEO of Consumer Services, one of ServiceMaster’s subsidiaries. Under his leadership, the Customer Services segment realized a five-year compounded growth rate in net income of over 45%; the number of customers served during that time more than doubled.

In addition to his responsibilities as Senior Chairman of ServiceMaster, Mr. Cantu also serves as a board member of DePaul University, Unicom Corporation, The Field Museum in Chicago, and a board member of the First Tennessee National Corporation and the Dixon Gallery and Gardens Museum in Memphis. He is active in a number of civic and charitable organizations.

A native of Brownsville, Texas, Mr. Cantu is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Agricultural Economics.
