Business and Related Experience

Attorney, banker, educator, financial consultant, and lecturer.

Since 1991, he has provided consulting services to various clients, including attorneys, banks, charitable organizations and computer firms.  During this period, he was instrumental in establishing a new private trust company in PA for a wealthy, NY based family, and then served on the company’s Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Trust Committee and Member of the Audit Committee; he also authored the Company’s Policy and Procedure Manuals and conducted training programs for staff members.

Also since 1991, he has been Adjunct Professor of Economics and Business at Eastern College in St. Davids, PA, participating in the traditional undergraduate and graduate programs, the video program for distance learners, and the non-traditional, accelerated Degree Completion and Fast Track MBA programs of the School of Professional Studies.  He has taught courses in Macro and Micro Economics, Economics of Management, Economic Analysis, Economic Foundations, Business Law, and Money and Banking.  He also participates in various faculty meetings and functions.

Until 1991, he was Executive Vice President of Delaware Trust Capital Management, Inc., in Wilmington, DE, and served on the Board of Directors of that company, and as Chairman or Member of several of its committees and task forces.  He also authored the Company’s Policy and Procedures Manuals and conducted its on-going training programs for staff members.

Prior to joining Delaware Trust in 1984, he served as a Senior Executive at CoreStates Bank in PA, and, earlier, as a Trust Executive at JP Morgan & Co., Inc., in NY.

Over a period of more than 30 years, he also served in a number of business-related positions, including as Head Director, Board Member, and Lecturer at the Central Atlantic School of Trust, at Bucknell University, as Board of Regents Member and Lecturer at the American Bankers Association National Trust and Graduate School, at Northwestern University, as Lecturer at the Central Atlantic Advanced School of Banking, at Bucknell University, as Lecturer in Finance at Temple University, as Instructor at the American Institute of Banking in PA, NJ, and DE, as Lecturer at the FDIC Training Center programs for government regulators in Arlington, VA, and as lecturer at numerous professional, business, governmental, educational, fraternal, and civic group functions.
