James F. Orr serves as chairman and chief executive officer of Convergys Corporation, the largest provider of outsourced billing and customer management services in the world, and a member of the S&P 500. Orr was elected chairman in April of 2000 and has been Convergys' CEO since 1998. Prior to that, he served as chief operating officer and a director of Cincinnati Bell Inc. At Cincinnati Bell, he was also chairman and president of CBIS and MATRIXX Marketing, the businesses that today make up Convergys. He joined Cincinnati Bell Inc. in 1988, after more than 20 years of domestic and international experience in sales and marketing with Procter & Gamble.

As the company's first CEO, Orr helped build Convergys (NYSE: CVG) into an international company with $2.5 billion in annual revenue by combining world-class resources and expertise to help clients transform customer relationships into a competitive advantage. Convergys software produces millions of bills each day for communication companies around the world. Convergys' integrated contact centers handle over two million customer interactions each day and the Employee Care business unit provides HR administration and processing for many of the Fortune Top 500 companies. Convergys provides billing, customer care, and employee care services to the top companies in a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, Internet, cable and broadband services, technology, and financial services. Today the company operates in 30 countries around the world.

Orr is a member of The Business Roundtable, the Ohio Business Roundtable, the G100 and is president of The Management Executives’ Society. He is also chairman of the Cincinnati Business Committee and a member of the Boards of Directors of Becton, Dickinson and Co. and Ohio National Financial Services, Inc.

Active in community service, Orr is a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, the Fine Arts Fund and the Foundation for Family Service. He was chair of the 2004 Fine Arts Fund Campaign, which raised over $10 million for Cincinnati Arts Institutions.

Orr and his wife, Cathy, have three adult children and five grandchildren, and reside in the Cincinnati area.
