E. Gallagher, Sr. John Gallagher, Sr.,
is a first generation Irish American who was born in Cleveland, Ohio.
He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the
Board of Arrow International, Inc., a privately held company which he
founded. He has provided the
leadership and direction which has made the company a leading supplier to
the world’s charitable gaming industry.
Headquartered in Cleveland they are the innovators in the
manufacturing of charitable gaming tickets, equipment and related
products. Thirteen satellite
facilities span the globe. The company employs in excess of 2,000 individuals.
Total revenue is $100 million dollars plus. Arrow International,
Inc. is totally committed to
offering the highest quality products and services to the charitable
gaming industry. This can
only be accomplished by staying at the forefront of technology and
utilizing leading edge equipment and procedures. They have made a significant investment in establishing the
most modern and secure manufacturing systems in existence in North
America. Mr. Gallagher is one
of the founding members of the Ireland Chamber of Commerce USA (ICCUSA)
and formerly served as the Vice Chairman of the organization.
Irish America Magazine named him one of the Top 100 Businessmen in
1990, 1995, 1997, and 1998. Contributions
in the form of time and resources, made to civic, community and
church-related organizations in both the United States and Ireland are
numerous. He has been honored
many times for his humanitarianism, his extensive dedication to
philanthropic causes as well as for his support of Ireland. Mr. Gallagher attended
The Family Business Program at The Wharton School of the University of
Pennsylvania. He is actively
involved with other leading Irish American businessmen, under the
leadership of William Flynn of Mutual of America, in fostering peace and
economic investments between the United States and Ireland. The delegation
has ventured to Ireland on several occasions to promote economic growth,
development and stability which they believe will provide the foundation
for uniting Ireland. Gallagher’s parents
came to the U.S. from County Mayo, Ireland.
His wife Catherine was also born and raised in County Mayo.
They vacation frequently at their beautiful home in Currane
