President and Owner of WILD’S BAKING CO., Englewood, NJ; Joseph’s father Carl Pfeifer emigrated from Germany to the United States in 1930.  He bought WILDS BAKING COMPANY IN 1955.  Joe joined the family business in 1958.  He immediately merchandized their product so that it could be distributed to all major supermarkets and specialty stores throughout the country.  Joe became President of the company in 1973, and after many years of success, he sold the business in 1988.  After a successful business career, Joe retired and was able to devote his time and energy to face other challenges.  He became an active fundraiser for various and diverse charities, and a philanthropist.
Other Activities: Founder and President of the Joseph Pfeiffer Foundation.
Trustee of the Salesian Sisters Partners Circle; volunteered to be project manager for the construction of the Sisters’ Provincial Center in Haledon, N.J.; recipient of the Year 2000 A.M. “Bud’ D’Allesandro Auxilium Award.
Fund raiser to help Monsignor Puma build EVA’S VILLAGE in Paterson, N.J., a home to feed and care for the poor, which is now worth more than nine million dollars and was completely planned, built and paid off in three years.
Member of the Board of Trustees of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson, N.J. from 1973-1982; Treasurer of St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation from 1982 to present.
Member of the Board of Trustees at St. Michael’s Academy, Bronx, N.Y.
