  Joseph P. Jarjura is the founder and Chairman of the Board of J.P. Jarjura & Sons Co., a family-run wholesale fruit and vegetable distributor serving the tri-state area. In addition to his many years in business in Waterbury, Mr. Jarjura has been an active member of several charitable, religious and civic organizations. He is a member of the Waterbury Rotary Club, having received that club’s highest public service award, the Paul Harris Fellow Award in 1994. Mr. Jarjura is a founding member and a long time Board member of the Waterbury Crimestoppers. In 1995, the Waterbury Exchange Club honored Mr. Jarjura for his many years of service to the community by naming him to the Book of Golden Deeds.

  Mr. Jarjura is founding member of thee Ehden Lebanese American Club and served that organization in many capacities including President, Vice President and Festival Chairman. He is currently Chairman of the Ehden-Lebanese Clubs of North America, Northeast Chapter, USA.

  Mr. Jarjura is an active parishioner of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronnite Catholic Church and a member of the Order of the Knights of St. Sharbel. In 1989, the Lebanese community of Waterbury honored Mr. Jarjura by naming him honorary Mayor for a day.

  Mr. Jarjura and his wife, Anna, live in Waterbury, Connecticut and Boca Raton, Florida. They have 7 sons, 14 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
