   Michael A. McManus, Jr. has held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of New York Bancorp, Inc., the $2.7 billion holding company for Home Federal Savings Bank (the "Bank") since 1991, and has been a member of its Board of Directors since 1990. He also has been President and CEO of the Banksince February , 1995 and a Director since 1991. New York Bancorp’s retail franchise now spans Brooklyn, Staten Island, Queens, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester servicing customers through 31 offices and four supermarket branches. New York Bancorp is a New York Stock Exchange traded company.

   Mr. McManus has a background in acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, product development, marketing and licensing gained through prior positions in several large companies. He has served as corporate counsel for Pfizer Inc. where he was lead lead attorney on several $100+ million acquisitions and later as VP Strategic Planning. Later he was Executive Vice President of Pantry Pride and the Revlon Group when those companies were purchased by MacAndrews & Forbes Acquisition Group.

   Part of his career has been spent in government service. From 1982 to 1985 he served in the Reagan White House as an assistant to the President of the United States, responsible for planning and administration. He was responsible for planning and organizing the 1983 Economic Summit and the 1984 Republican Convention. He organized the advertising team and other planning areas for the 1984 Presidential Campaign. He served in the Ford administration from 1975 to 1977 as a special assistant to The Secretary of Commerce.

   Memberships include the Community Bankers Association of New York, Americas Community Bankers, Licensing Executives Society, New Product Development Association and the American Bar Association.

   He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Notre Dame and J.D. in Law from Georgetown University Law Center.

   In addition to New York Bancorp, he serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the United States Olympic Committee, Document Imaging System Corp., National Wireless Holdings, Inc., Arrhythmia Research Technology, Inc., and as an advisor to Barrington Capital Co., a New York investment firm.
