   Mr. Doolan, with over 25 years of experience as a corporate turnaround executive, has been highly successful in restoring shareholder value and long-term profitability in several medium-to-large size corporations.  He has provided extensive CEO management and advisory turnaround services to companies owned by Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, First Chicago Venture Capital, Madison Dearborn Partners, Regional Financial Enterprises, Security Pacific Venture Capital, Weston Presidio Capital, Banc One Venture Partners, Sunwestern Investment Group, Schottenstein Stores Corporation and others.

   Mr. Doolan founded Multitech Enterprises in 1982; a firm which specializes in providing CEO management for companies with under performing earnings.  Mr. Doolan serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Multitech and fosters the principle of equity participation and continued involvement with all client companies until a successful turnaround and exit strategy is executed with significant return to shareholders.  In recent years, Mr. Doolan has co-invested and managed portfolio investment companies for RFE Investment Partners, Weston Presidio Capital, Capstan Partners and Schottenstein Stores Corp.  In these engagements he has served as:

  1. President and CEO – Value City Department Stores Inc. (NYSE-VCD).  $1.6 billion dollar off-price retail chain with 150 stores throughout the Midwest and Northeast regions.  Returned sales revenues and profits to strong positive trend and implemented strategic growth plan.  Acquired DSW Shoe Warehouse, a $350 million dollar dress/casual footwear retail chain.

  2. Director – American Eagle Outfitters, $700 million dollar young mens/womens specialty casual clothing retailer.
  3. Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer for U.S. Netting, a filtration media manufacturer, and currently serves as Chairman of the Board.

  4. Interim CEO for Walt’s Radiator & Muffler, an automotive retail chain, and currently serves as Chairman of the Board.

  5. Director – Baxter, Inc., a manufacturer of bakery and food service equipment for the food chain and fast food industries.

  6. Director – OK Industries Inc., a high-tech manufacturer for the semiconductor industry.

Some previous engagements undertaken through Multitech included:

   1.  Mr. Doolan served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bestop (NASDAQ), an automotive convertible and sports utility vehicle top manufacturer. Mr. Doolan led this company successfully from crisis through divestiture, renewed profitability, IPO and strategically positioned acquisitions providing profitable growth and exit strategy for investors with a significant ROI.  The company was featured by “Fortune” in, “Companies to Watch” November, 1992 article and by “Business Week” in May, 1993 article, “Best Small Growth Companies,” rated number one “return on invested capital” and 11th in growth.

   2.  He served as Chairman, Chief Executive officer of a $100 million furniture manufacturer, owned by Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, a leading New York based LBO firm.  Mr. Doolan was responsible for a significant turnaround from crisis to strong profits and refocus of the strategic direction of this business for continued long term profits, growth and strategic sale of business at significant return on investment to a publicly traded NASDAQ firm.

   Mr. Doolan serves a Director/Chairman on several Board of Directors, holds numerous U.S. and international patents.  He has an ASEE from RCA Institutes, A BBA from Dallas Baptist University and studied Electrical Engineering at City University of New York.  Mr. Doolan served seven years active service in the United States Coast Guard, and 30 years in the Reserves.  He attended the Army War College for Reserves and retired as Captain, July 1997, waiving selection to Rear Admiral.  Mr. Doolan business accomplishments have been featured in articles in the Wall Street Journal, Wall Street Transcript, Dow-Jones Newswire, Dallas Business, Business First, Discount Merchandiser, Fortune, Furniture Today, Business Week, Housewares Executive and other publications.  Mr. Doolan has been featured on “CEO Call” on CNBC live.  Mr. Doolan is also the recipient of the prestigious “1999 Ellis Island Medal of Honor” for exceptional business achievements, humanitarian efforts and outstanding contributions to our country.
