Peter and his brothers grew up alongside their father in the food service business.  His main goal was to bring discounted supermarkets into low-income areas.  Concentrating on the inner city and its abandonment by other large supermarkets, he ascertained the ethnic backgrounds, population density and food preferences of the people in each neighborhood.  Learning the neighborhood, its people and their needs helped him to design a supermarket style that makes shopping an economical and pleasant experience.  Peter believes strongly in giving back to the neighborhoods and his generosity is well known.  He is a strong believer in the “giving” principle and he knows that is why God blesses him.

Peter was educated in Queens Parochial schools and graduated from La Salle Military School as Captain.  He is happily married to his childhood sweetheart, Marie and they have four lovely children, Peter III 21, Marielle 19, Christina 17 and Andrew 15.
