Thomas M. Reich received a degree in finance from the University of Pittsburgh in 1960, and earned his law degree from Duquesne University in 1965.  He was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1965 and the Federal Court of Western Pennsylvania in 1966.  He is a member of the American Bar Association and is certified to represent athletes in both Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League; he also represented National Football League players for approximately ten years in the 1970's and 1980's.

Since 1970, Mr. Reich has been one of the most experienced and accomplished attorneys in the history of sports representation, negotiating many landmark contracts in both baseball and hockey.  Hall of Famer and senior analyst for ESPN baseball, Joe Morgan, has been his client from 1974 until the present time.  He is also the only sports agent ever to represent league Most Valuable Players in two sports in the same year (Mo Vaughn and Mario Lemieux, in 1995).

Over the years Mr. Reich has frequently had speaking engagements, participated in sports forums, and appeared on national radio and television programs regarding major sports developments and legal issues.  Television credits include  ESPN’s Up Close, ESPN’s Cold Pizza, Good Morning America, CNN’s Crossfire, The Today Show with Bryant Gumbel, Roy Firestone, and many others.  He has received notice in many publications, being ranked in Baseball America as one of the “Top 25 Power Brokers,” and in The Sporting News as one of the “100 Most Powerful People in Sports.”  He was recently interviewed “One on One” by The Sports Business Journal.

Tom has served as a board member of the Mario Lemieux Foundation, the Joe Morgan Foundation, and the Roberto Clemente Foundation.  In May of 2000 he was the recipient of the distinguished Ellis Island Medal of Honor.

He is presently a senior consultant to Wasserman Media Group’s Baseball division, and became affiliated with Dreier, Stein & Kahan in Los Angeles and New York in February of 2007.
