David S. Slackman is Executive Vice President of Atlantic Bank of New York, a $2 billion commercial bank headquartered in Manhattan.  David’s career in banking spans thirty years, and he has been an active member of The Forum Club since 1997. 

A lifelong resident of New York, David was born in Brooklyn and lives in Long Island with his wife Laurie.  He is active in a number of organizations including Long Island’s public television station WLIW21, Forum’s Children Foundation, and the Avenue of the Americas Association.  David received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in May, 2000. 

David was educated in the New York City public schools, and received his Bachelor’s degree at Queens College, a school of the City University.  He earned his master’s degree in Economics at New School University. 

David served with the U.S. Army from 1966-1968 with the XVIII Airborne Corps Artillery.
