GOAL is an international humanitarian agency dedicated to the alleviation of
the suffering of the poorest of the poor. It was founded in 1977 in Ireland. GOAL
works to ensure that the most vulnerable in our world and those affected by
humanitarian crises have access to the fundamental needs and rights of life:
food, water, shelter, medical attention and literacy.
GOAL works in Darfur to aid the 2.5 million people who have been driven from
their homes. In Pakistani Kashmir, GOAL is helping survivors of the shattering
earthquake that one year ago killed 90,000 men, women and children and left
four million people homeless. GOAL provides hands-on help by addressing
AIDS orphans in Uganda, developing irrigation projects in Malawi, and helping
thousands of children in the slums of Nairobi and throughout India.
