Revels Circle of Song
The Revels Circle of Song, a touring ensemble based in Watertown,
Massachusetts, will perform
An American Journey on Ellis Island,
Sunday, March 25, 2007 at 1:00 and 2:30 p.m.
Sponsored by NECO, the
performances are open to the public at no charge on a first-come, first-served
basis. They will be performed in the Great Hall, now the Ellis Island
Immigration Museum, through which millions of immigrants passed on their
way to a new life in America.

The musical play tells the story of immigrants from Italy, Ireland and Poland
traveling on a ship to America in 1907. The musical numbers include
traditional melodies and dances, and newly composed songs—from Irish set
dancing to Klezmer music to tearful Italian ballads. The show includes poetry,
stories, children's games and audience participation.

Since 1971 this ensemble of 40 adults and children has delighted audiences
with its performances based on cultural, historic and seasonal themes. It's a
perfect opportunity for a family visit Ellis Island.
